O-Liminator is celebrating its fifth year participating in Adopt-A -Highway. Litter on the side of the road is not only unsightly, but it also destroys the natural beauty of our nations forests, mountains, plains, and deserts. Litter can harm local wildlife and can also be a potential safety hazard to motorists traveling on our nations comprehensive network of highways and interstates. Today, nearly 1,700 volunteer groups have adopted 3,400 miles of Illinois highway and each year these groups collect over 32,00 bags of trash!

It is important to support programs like Adopt-A-Highway and to spread awareness about keeping Illinois’ (and all states) roadsides clean.
